Camp Descriptions
Each camp at Oneida offers a unique experience with a variety of activities.
Jr/Sr
High & Co-Ed Camps
Most of the camps at Oneida are Co-ed (mixed males and females). Campers interact with each other throughout the week in a variety of activities that create and nurrish friendships which can last a life time.
Wilderness
Camp
A chance to get out into "the wild", this camp makes full use of Camp Oneida's 100+ acres of land, including a wooded area. Throughout the week, campers experience the great outdoors as they sleep in tents, cook food over the open fire, canoe, hike and learn survival skills.
Notes:
- Limited to 20 campers per camp
Girls Camp
An opportunity for "Girl Power" to flourish, this camp is an exclusive camp just for girls and has become very popular over the past few years.
The atmosphere is warm and supportive and the emphasis is always on growing and gaining self-esteem.
Squirt Camp
A great way to get your young one "initiated" to Camp Oneida. Squirt Camps are half-week durations, mixed males and females, and are designed to introduce your child to the camping experience.
Notes:
- Squirt Camp lasts 4 days and 3 nights, Sunday to Wednesday.
- Camp ends after supper on Wednesday, 7pm
Leader Education and Development
(LEAD)
Mandatory for all first-time leaders and recommended for returning
leaders as well. These sessions train leaders about the ins-and-outs of leadership at
Oneida and also introduces new leaders to perm staff, directors and other leaders. More Details and Date(s)
Building Oneida's Leadership Team (BOLT)
BOLT is a new program for 2008 to train 13-15 year olds that are interested in developing their
