Camp Oneida Child Protection Policy

All volunteers and leaders are to have on record at Camp a current criminal record check.

Police checks that contain: Pardoned Sexual Offences check, Vulnerable sector screening check and criminal record check within the time period set by Personnel Committee will be accepted from other church, school, or other volunteer agency in which the volunteer is in contact with children. This will be at the discretion of the Personnel committee.

Anyone who does not have a current police check is required to complete Camp Oneida "Criminal Background Check" using forms provided and will submit these forms prior to being approved as a leader and volunteer.

Upon presentation of receipt for current Criminal Background Check to camp - the volunteer or leader will be fully reimbursed for this cost to a maximum of $40.00 when approved for leadership or volunteer position. This money will be distributed during the volunteer or leadership activity.

All copied police checks require the name of the organization this was completed for, position held and signature of a responsible person dated within time period specified by Camp Committee.
